Isabel was born in the continent of Australia in Melbourne. Her father is Australian as is her mother who is Swiss. Her family has lived in Australia, Switzerland, Melbourne Jabiru (a small mining community in Northern Territory), Cairns Australia and Jabiru in Switzerland. Together with the help of her younger sister Nina they attended schools with students of different races and cultures. Isabel is currently living with her family in Byron Bay NSW Australia. Isabel was engaged in drama from her time at school. After graduating from the Queensland Institute of Technology (QUT), she continued her studies in drama at the Victorian College of Arts. She also recently finished a class in the Perdekamp emotional technique. Her auditions were not for parts until her agent found her in 2002. She was auditioning for a role in Home and Away, 1988. They felt she was not suitable for this role. But, they were so impressed they made another character to play Tasha. In her 3 year stint as the first time she appeared on TV, Isabel won an Logie Award. Isabel moved into Los Angeles, California in 2008. The film she made her debut was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in 2009. Since then Isabel has starred in and won awards in numerous US productions as well as Australian productions. Isabel has recently appeared as Bosh in Bosh & Rockit Ocean Boy, a film that is fast becoming a Australian film that is becoming a classic. Isabel also starred in the soon-to be-released thriller Lunacy. Isabel just wrapped Sons of Summer. In production, she'll be playing Marie Curie as part of Radiant. The film is produced and directed by the Award-winning Annika Glc. Isabel is an avid advocate for animal rights and has worked with many environmental groups. She was a very proud patronambassador of Melbourne's Human Rights and Arts Film Festival HRAFF over the last 10 years up to 2020. Isabel, who is well-known for her environmental efforts and dedication to social justice and ethical values, was the face and brand ambassador for various fashion, cosmetics and beauty campaigns.

Awed of acting from an early age, she started her career in modeling with contracts and cameo appearances in minor film feature.
